This year marks the 120th year of the declaration of Philippine Independence. The Araneta Center celebrates this by highlighting things that pertain to our Filipino identity – whether it is about history, our idea of Philippine pride, or even our sense of self-worth.

One of the focal points of the celebration is the SINAG FAIR. Happening at the Gateway Mall activity area in Araneta Center from June 9 to 12, the ongoing bazaar features products from the eight provinces that first revolted against Spanish colonial rule. The eight provinces are represented by the rays of the sun in our Philippine flag, thus the set-up of the fair is a giant sun.

Each province will be showcasing and selling the following:

Bulacan – Accessories; turmeric and other turmeric-based products; cakes, toasted pastillas, mushroom chips; flavored vinegar;

Nueva Ecija – Dairy products, mushrooms, burong isda, longganisa; slipper, sandals, soaps, and more.
